Advanced Operations
Set up and Manage User Profiles
If you use your wireless computers on different sites or locations,
Wireless Configuration Profiles can help you to:
■
Store the settings that apply on different locations
■
Switch between these profiles.
The process of managing Configuration Profiles differs between
computers running Microsoft Windows XP Professional and
Home edition, and the other Windows versions.
Manage Profiles with Windows XP
In Windows XP the Wireless Configuration Profiles are referred
to as “Preferred Networks”. To create or modify your profiles:
1.
Right-click on the Client Manager icon.
2.
From the menu, select Configuration Profile, Add/Edit
Profile
This will open the “Wireless Network Connection
Properties” Window.

Alternatively you can use the following procedure:
1.
Click the Start button from the Windows task bar.
2.
Point to Connect to, and click Wireless Network
Connection
3.
On the “Wireless Network Connection Status” window,
click the button Properties.

Next, select the tab Wireless Network.
