Hard Drive Installation Guide
To determine if your computer contains a Quiet Drive or to activate
Quiet mode, complete the following steps:
1.
Turn on or restart the computer. If you are in Windows, click
Start > Shut Down > Restart the Computer.
2.
When the F10 = Setup message displays in the lower-right
corner of the screen, press the
F10
key.
If you do not press the F10 key while the message is displayed,
you must restart the computer to access the utility.
3.
Select your language from the list and press the
Enter
key.
4.
A choice of five headings displays in the Computer Setup
Utilities menu. Using the arrow keys or the Tab key, select
Storage > Device Configuration.
5.
Select the drive from the list of devices. Press the
Enter
key.
6.
Select Quiet Drive > Quiet (Performance is the factory-set
default.)
If the Quiet Drive option is not displayed, your computer does not
contain a Quiet drive.
7.
To apply and save changes, select File > Save Changes.
