Read the manual carefully before using your hearing protection.

ComMaster CM 9150 is an active hearing protection that reproduces surround sounds. 
The electronics will dampen sudden impulse sounds and noise to protect your hearing from 
harmful sounds. The CM 9150 is tested, approved and CE marked in accordance with applicable 
European standards and directives.

Inserting the batteries

The ear muff is powered by 2 x 1.5V AAA (LR03) batteries that are placed under the front cover 
of the right cup. To remove the front cover push / slide it gently forward. Insert the batteries into 
the holder and ensure that they are secured properly and are correctly oriented. Put back the 
front cover and push / slide it gently backwards until it clicks.

Please Note

• It is time to change the batteries when the volume becomes weak or disruptions occur.
• When replacing the batteries the hearing protection shall be turned off.

Using CM 9150

Put the hearing protection over the ears and adjust the height so that the headband is comfortable 
on the head. For optimal protection ensure that the cushions are in tight contact around the ears 
and not disturbed by hair, glasses or other items.

The headset shall be turned off when placed on the head.

Turn the volume knob to turn on the headset. Adjust the volume to your desired level.

Turn the headset off on the volume knob. Turn until it clicks. Turn off the headset before removing 
it from your head.

External audio input jack (3.5 mm)

The left earmuff is equipped with an audio input (3.5 mm) and extra speaker for connection and 
audible from a communication radio. The volume is controlled directly from the communication 
radio or mp3 player volume control and will work even if the hearing protection is switched off or 
the batteries run out.

Please Note

•  It is normal to hear a faint click in the hearing protection when you press and release the 

transmission key (PTT) on a communication radio. 

•  Make sure that any communication radio antenna is more than 10 cm from hearing protection 

to minimize disruptions.

Important user information

•  Hearing protection and cushions may deteriorate with time and should be examined periodically 

for cracks or sound leakage.

•  We recommend to replace the cushions twice a year to ensure a constant level of attenuation, 

hygiene and comfort.

•  Clean the hearing protector with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents. 

Do not immerse the hearing protector in water.

•  Use only the original cables that are suited for this hearing protection and your two way radio. 

Incorrect wiring can damage the radio or hearing protection and then the warranty expires.

•  Remove the batteries when the hearing protector is stored for a longer period to avoid battery 

leakage.

Warranty

The warranty period is 24 months, unless otherwise specified, from the date the product was 
purchased. 

The warranty validity must be supported by an invoice or cash receipt on which / what date of 
purchase to be shown. 

If errors are discovered during the warranty period, contact your dealer. This warranty does not 
cover normal wear or failure due to accident, abnormal usage, neglected maintenance, improper 
maintenance, improper voltage, modification, intervention or repair carried out by non-authorized 
service center. Warranty is void if failure caused by use of accessories other than original. If the 
cash receipt or description of the defect is missing, the product is not under warranty.

The ComMaster CM9150™ hearing protector attenuation values and noise levels have been 
tested and approved according to EN 352-1: 2002, EN 352-4: 2001 and EN 352-6: 2002. The 
attenuation values are given in the table below:
