CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning:

CAUTION-Before cleaning the fan be sure to

disconnect power cord from the plug. Clean the grille surface
with a clean damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemical or abrasive
cleaners. DO NOT IMMERSE THE FAN OR ANY WIRES IN
WATER. Replace front grille before fan use. Allow fan to dry
completely before use. Periodic grille cleaning with a vacuum will
prevent dust build up. The motor is sealed and does not require
any interior maintenance, cleaning or lubrication.

Periodic grille cleaning with a vacuum will prevent dust build up:

1. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screws on the side of the

front grille. (See Fig 2 and 3).

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the front grille.

3. Clean the fan blades with a soft, lightly wet soapy cloth.

4.  Replace the front grille so that the locks match their respective

joints in the back grille. Replace the screws and lower all the
locks by pressing to complete the assembly. Wait until the fan
is completely dry before operating again .

Maintenance:

The internal motor bearings are permanently

lubricated at the factory and do not require any additional
lubrication.

Repair:

DO NOT OPERATE THE FAN WITHOUT THE GRILLE

IN PLACE. DO NOT USE THE FAN IF IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED
OR BECOME DAMAGED IN ANY WAY.

WALL MOUNTING

This fan comes with a wall mounting option.

NOTE:

It is not recommended to install the wall support attachment

on prefabricated walls or unstable walls. The fan should be level
when mounted and at least one of the two mounting screw
locations should be a wall stud.

1. Using a 1/4-inch drill bit (not included) make two holes

horizontally aligned with 17.7 inches of separation between
them into the wall (See Fig 1).

2.  Insert in a 1/4-inch plastic dowel (included) into each hole.

Next, insert in each plastic dowel a 1/64-inch x 1-inch screw
(included) no more than 0.8 inches deep.

3.  Insert the screw into the hole in the base and tighten. Mount

the fan on the wall and make sure it is properly set.

USAGE

Fan Operation:

Always operate the fan on a stable surface. Do

not set on a rug, over furniture, on an uneven floor or on a fabric
surface. Always follow all instructions and recommendations
listed in this manual.

Fan Location:

Place the fan in the area of the room that will

provide proper fan cooling. Do not set your fan closer than
4 inches from any surface such as the wall, curtains or any
furniture which could block the air flow.

Fan Connection:

Make sure the fan is in the OFF position on

the control panel before plugging in. Plug the fan directly into
120 volt A.C., 60Hz wall outlet. Be sure plug fits tightly into the
outlet. A loose connection may cause overheating and damage
to the plug or fan.

Note:

To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the fan into a

circuit that is servicing other electrical needs.

Turning Fan On/Off:

To start the fan, rotate the Control Dial

from the OFF position to the desired fan speed: LOW, MEDIUM
or HIGH (0-OFF, 1-Low, 2-Medium, 3-High).  Rotate the dial to
OFF to discontinue use. Unplug the fan when not in use.
