USAGE
HEATER OPERATION:
Always operate the heater in the upright
position following all instructions and recommendations listed in this
manual.
HEATER LOCATION:
Place the heater in the area of the room that
is coldest. The heater should not be placed immediately under a power
outlet.
HEATER CONNECTION:
Plug heater directly into 240 Volt AC,
60Hz, 25A wall outlet. Be sure plug fits tightly in outlet. A loose
connection may cause overheating and damage to the plug or heater.
NOTE:
To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a
circuit that is servicing other electrical needs.
TURNING HEATER ON
To start the heater, turn the heater ON by turning the Power Knob
(located on the top of the heater) away from the OFF position
«0»
to the
FAN ONLY setting
«
»
or to one of the two heat settings:
– LOW HEAT (3300W)
– HIGH HEAT (5000W)
For faster heat up or to increase the heat output, turn the THERMOSTAT
CONTROL all the way to the
MAX
position. The thermostat function
controls the temperature output. To decrease the heat output, turn the
knob towards the
MIN
position. To completely shut off heater, turn the
POWER KNOB to the OFF position
« 0 »
and unplug the heater.
NOTE:
During the heaters initial use, you may experience a slight odor
or smoking. This is the result of the heating element lubrication "burning
off". This is normal and will go away after a few minutes of use.

HEAT SETTING:
This heater has a thermostat and two heat settings.
SETTING THERMOSTAT:
At first turn the thermostat to
MAX
and
let the heater operate with full power input. When the room temperature
reaches the required value, turn the thermostat to left until it switches
off. The thermostat will then switch on and off automatically to control
the room temperature according to the preset value and keep the room
temperature constant.
TURNING HEATER OFF
To shut the heater off, turn the THERMOSTAT to the OFF position
«0»
and turn the POWER KNOB switch to FAN ONLY position
«
»
and let
the heater cool down for two minutes. For heaters with the time delay
stopping function – even if the power switch is off – the delay circuit
may turn the heater on if the inner temperature has reached the preset
temperature. The delay time depends on the ambient temperature.
For 68°F ambient temperature, it is about 3-4 minutes. If the ambient
temperature keeps being higher than 80°F, the delay function can not
cool down the heater and the delay time may be very long or the delay
circuit won't open. Therefore, the user can only disconnect the heater
from the power supply by pulling out the plug.
