CHECKING HYDRAULIC BRAKE FLUIDS
DANGER
Never operate your E-Merge if the brake pedal does not feel firm or extends more than half way
to the floor.
Immediately stop operation if your vehicle pulls severely to one side while braking. Do not
continue operation.
Your E-MERGE is equipped with 4+ Wheel Brakes
The main pedal braking is done on all four wheels with a hydraulic brake system which includes front
wheel disc brake
s
and rear wheel drum brakes. This system requires periodic inspection for brake pad
wear, drum/rotor wear and hydraulic fluid loss. Consult your Tomberlin Dealer or qualified Technician
if excess wear or if fluid loss is noted. Do not attempt to move the vehicle.
The second braking system is an electronic motor brake that will activate when the E-Merge comes
to a complete stop, the key is turned off, or the batteries are below 24-volts.
Additional braking utilizes the E-Merge
’
s electric motor. It will limit your top speed to while going
downhill by transferring some of the excess energy back into the batteries. It will also engage to
slow the vehicle if it starts to roll-away once stopped.
