6. Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause Suggested solutions
The laser beam is
not on. The batteries are inserted
incorrectly. Insert the batteries according
to the markings in the battery
compartment.
Discharged batteries. Change the batteries.
The power switch is in
the wrong position. Set the power switch to the ON
position.
The working temperature
has been exceeded. Make sure the working
temperature is between
- 5° C and 50° C.
The indicator lamp
continuously
flashes red. Discharged batteries. Change the batteries.
The indicator light
is red and the laser
beam flashes. The incline angle has been
exceeded (+/- 4º). Change the incline angle.
The laser line is
not plumb or level. The laser is in cross-line
locked mode. Change modes, making sure
that the indicator light is green.
Extreme temperature
changes. Wait until the laser level has
reached ambient room
temperature.
The laser level has been
exposed to knocks. The laser level needs repairing
by a qualified service technician.
The laser line
seems overly thick
or unfocused. The laser aperture window
needs cleaning. Wipe the window clean using
a soft cleaning cloth.
The laser line is
difficult to see. The environment is too
bright. Minimise the lighting conditions.
Change to outdoor mode and
use a laser receiver
(sold separately).
Discharged batteries. Change the batteries.
