Electrical safety - danger of electric shock
WARNING:
keep the appliance away from water. Do not
use the appliance near to bathtubs, sinks or other water
containers!
When using the appliance in the bathroom always disconnect it
from the mains supply after use, as the presence of water could
be dangerous even when the appliance is switched off.
For a greater safety you are advised to install a residual current
device (RCD), in your bathroom, with a residual operating
current not exceeding 30 mA. Ask your electrician for advice.
Before connecting the appliance, check that the rating plate

Do not use adapters, power strips and/or extension cords. If
the power plug does not match your socket, have the socket

Observe the following fundamental guidelines for use of
electrical household appliances:
- Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
- Do not use the appliance with bare feet.
- Do not pull the power cord or the appliance itself to remove
the plug from the socket.
- Do not expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions
(rain, sun).
Before cleaning or maintenance and when the appliance is not
in use, always disconnect it from the mains supply.
Do not use the appliance if its casing or power cord is damaged
or if the appliance does not work correctly. If the power cord
is damaged and needs to be replaced contact an authorised
service centre to avoid any possible danger.

cover it (e.g. with hand towels) during operation.

Injury hazard
The tong and the appliance components in its vicinity become
extremely hot when used. Direct skin contact presents a risk of
burns!
Be careful to avoid direct contact between the hot surfaces of
the appliance and skin, in particular the ears, eyes, face and
neck.
Only bring the tong into contact with your hair for a short time,
otherwise the hair could be damaged.
Danger of material damages
Never use the appliance with synthetic hair or wigs.
Keep the styler clean and free from dust, dirt, gel, hair setting
lotion, styling spray, etc. These substances could permanently
damage the styler and its coating.
Never wind the power cord around the appliance.
