1. Safety
• Check that the voltage where you want to use the hotplate is compatible
with the product’s rated voltage. Make sure you connect the hotplate to an
earthed outlet.
• Place the hotplate on a dry, flat and resistant surface. Make sure there is free
space surrounding the hotplate since the sides get hot during use.
• Never place any inflammable objects such as towels, curtains, or plastic boxes
on or close to the hotplate.
• The hotplate should only be used as described in this instruction manual.
• Always keep the hotplate under supervision during use. Use the hotplate out
of reach for children.
• Be cautious when you heat up cooking oil. Keep the frying pan/saucepan
under supervision to avoid overheating.
• Never use the hotplate without a frying pan or saucepan since it can damage
the hotplate.
• The power lead should be regularly checked. Never use the device if the
power lead or plug is damaged.
• The power lead must be changed if damaged in order to avoid the risk of
chock or fire, but this should only be done by the manufacturer, qualified
service station or professional.
• Do not pull or carry the hotplate by the cord. Do not use the lead as a handle
and do not let it fasten in door jambs. Do not pull the hotplate around sharp
corners and edges or over warm surfaces either.
• The hotplate should only be used and kept indoors.
• Do not open the casing. Certain parts inside the casing carry dangerous
currents. Touching these can give you an electric shock.
• The hotplate should not be changed or taken apart and only repaired by
qualified service personnel.
• Always unplug the hotplate from the wall socket before cleaning.
• Never lower the hotplate into water or other liquids. The hotplate can become
live and life threatening electric shocks may occur.
Warning:
To avoid risk for electric shock, turn off the hotplate and pull the plug out if the
hotplate has cracked or damaged.
