Training A Model
When a code is too degraded to be read successfully, a model must be trained. This gives
In-Sight more information about the code and allows it to run more powerful decoding
algorithms.
To train a model:
1. Check
the
Train a model?
checkbox.
2. Highlight the cell containing the
structure to the right of the checkbox.
3. Press
F2
on the keyboard to access the graphics routine.
4. Press
F3
twice to select the top left-hand corner cross.
5. Move this cross to the center of the top left-hand corner as shown in Figure C-3.

6. Repeat this for all four corners, remembering that the bottom left-hand corner is always
the apex of the location L in the 2D code.
7. Press
Enter
to finish.
