Cleaning the Appliance
PLEASE NOTE!

Before

rst using the appliance, please also note the information in the "Use" chap-
ter.

rst clean it, please note the instructions in the "Care and Descaling"
chapter.

Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance. These
could damage the surface.
We recommend that, prior to
fi
rst use, you operate the appliance three times
with just water (no coffee) to
fl
ush through all the lines etc.

Before you
fi
rst operate the appliance, make sure that the cover is closed and that
the
fi
lter compartment and the permanent
fi
lter are inserted correctly so that the
water can run through the
fi
lter without any problems.
❐
Please note:
The hotplate remains switched on even after the end of the brewing
process! Move the On/Off button to the
0
position to switch off the hotplate. Never
place the glas pot on the hotplate if it does not contain any liquid!
❐
Danger of scalding! Always allow the permanent
fi
lter to cool down
fi
rst before you
remove the used coffee powder!
❐
Always allow the coffee machine to cool down for at least
fi
ve minutes between
brewing operations before you use it again.
❐
Never use the appliance empty, without water.
❐
Do not over
fi
ll the appliance. When you pour water into the water reservoir of the appli-
ance, make sure that the maximum marking of the water level indication is not exceeded.
The coffee machine has a non-drip valve. You can also take the glas pot from
the hotplate during the brewing procedure and pour yourself a cup of coffee.
But be careful: You should place the glas pot back on the hotplate within 20
seconds to prevent the coffee

lter from over
fl
owing with water!
Commissioning and Making Basic Settings
1. Place the appliance on a level,
fi
rm and heat-resistant surface.
2. Connect the appliance to a mains socket that has been properly installed.
