Start situation: Your transmitter and receiver
have been configured correctly but are not in range
of each other.

Use a screwdriver to pry the base plate off of
the back.
Temporarily place the transmitter and receiver
next to each other and make sure you can actually
control the receiver with the transmitter!
Do not place the screwdriver in the middle but
rather under the left or right side. The recess in the
centre is for the battery compartment (see [3])!
