ASSEMBLY OF BRACKETS
The
Model 55-0027
is designed so you can adjust the height of the bracket. Determine which
height adjustment best suits your needs and assemble according to the following instructions.
Step 1. Align the motor plate mounting holes to the height adjustment
holes of the transom
plate. The motor plate has the Panther label. Make sure that the motor plate is attached
as shown in the picture. The picture shows the bracket
fully extended
.
Step 2. Put a washer onto a bolt and insert the bolt through the plates as shown in picture.
Install washer and nut on other end and hand tighten. Finish installing the remaining
bolts, washers, and nuts in the same manner. Securely tighten
all bolts.
MOUNTING THE BRACKET TO THE BOAT
Place the assembled bracket on the desired location of your transom. Hold the bracket in place.
Make
certain
that the transom bracket is
level
. Mark
at least
two (2) upper and two (2) lower
hole locations using the transom plate as a template. Drill out the marks you just made using a
½”
drill bit. Attach bracket to boat using appropriate length bolts, nuts, and washers.
Tighten securely.
