DRIVE CLUTCH INSTALLATION
1.
Ensure the mating surface in the drive clutch and on the crankshaft are clean.
2.
Place drive clutch onto crankshaft and install the washer and bolt.
3.
Tighten bolt to 36 ft-lb (49 N·m). If the bolt will not tighten due to the crankshaft spinning while attempting to
tighten, hold the large flywheel nut on the front of the engine. This will require loosening the shroud and rotating
screen. See following procedure.
3.1. Remove bolts securing fuel pump and pump bracket to engine
3.2. Remove screws securing rotating screen to flywheel

3.3. Remove bolts securing fan shroud to engine

3.4. Maneuver shroud and screen to allow access to large flywheel nut

4.
Install the drive belt.
See Drive Belt Installation, Section 18, Page 18-5.
5.
Install the clutch cover and intake hose.
See Outer Clutch Cover Installation, Section 18, Page 18-3.
6.
Install the rear shock absorber on the driver side.
See Rear Shock Installation, Section 9, Page 9-2.
7.
Connect battery and spark plug wire(s).
See Connecting the Battery – Gasoline Vehicles on page 1-4.
