3.
Position the front differential to align the splined center drive shaft coupling with the differential input shaft splines.
4.
Press the center drive shaft coupling onto the input shaft until it seats positively.
5.
Carefully slide the differential towards the passenger side of the vehicle until the driver side half-shaft can be
easily engaged onto the driver side differential output shaft splines.
6.
Press the driver side half-shaft coupling onto the driver side output shaft until it seats positively.
7.
Carefully move the differential towards the driver side of the vehicle until the passenger side half-shaft can be
easily engaged onto the passenger side differential output shaft splines.
8.
Center the differential on the mounting plate on the front frame.
9.
Secure the differential to the mounting plate on the front frame. Tighten the hardware to 30 ft-lb (40.5 N·m)
10.
For auto-locking front differential:
Connect the two-pin connector between the front differential and the
wire harness.
11. Connect the vent tube to the differential housing
See following NOTE.
NOTE:
If the tube shows signs of cracking or splitting, trim the end before the tube is connected or replaced.
