These instructions explain how to correctly use this product.
You are responsible for heeding each warning and using your equipement correctly.
Any misuse of this product will create additional dangers. Contact CLiC-iT if you have any doubt or dif culty understanding these
instructions.
The selection of your system’s components (lanyards, connectors, harnesses), as well as their assembly and installation, must be done
by competent persons to be suitable for the adventure park where they will be used.
1. Description
This product is a Personal Protection Equipment designed for leisure activities at heights (high rope adventure parks) as per standard
EN17109:2020.
CLiC-iT Rider Pulley is an MCD (mobile connection device) designed to prevent risk of fall from heigh, and operate along an CLiC-iT
Rider safetyline regarding the recommendation of the PPE 2016/425. Its main functions are to assure the user to the lifeline and to
provide a continuous movement through it.
This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
This PPE is controled by APAVE SUD EUROPE CS 60193 - 13322, MARSEILLE CEDEX 16, France. CE number 0082.

(1) Safety line cable: This product is designed to be used exclusively on Ø12mm lifelines, made of galvanized steel cable, type 7x19,
steel core, compacted. Do not use any other type of cable. This product must not be used on other type of safety line.

3. Compatibility
3.1 Carabiner.
Use this product in conjunction with a
type carabiner
to guarantee a
category E equipment
Pin Lock
(device that is
permanently attached during operation and can only be opened with a tool).
Read carefully the user manual of the carabiner.
3.2 Lanyard.
A1 harness are recommended. EN17109 lanyards are recommended for connection to the harness. The
connection of the lanyard to the carabiner and the harness must not be removable (a lark´s foot connection is considered as non-
openable). Consult your lanyard manual to connect to the carabiner and harness.
De ne the lengh of the lanyard in accordance to the height of the safety line and the size of the person.
4. Installation
4.1 Procedure for opening a
Pin-Lock
carabiner.

Initially the carabiner is locked,

Use a pin tool to press the carabiner button. Your carabiner can operate with a special pin, refer to
the instructions of your carabiner,

Make a clockwise turn on the lock cylinder of the carabiner,
❹
keeping the previous operation,
proceed with the opening of the carabiner,
❺
Once the effort is withdrawn, the carabiner automatically returns to its locking position.
4.2 Installing the product on the safety line.

Make sure you are in a safe position on the floor and disconnect the carabiner from CLiC-iT Rider Pulley in case it is connected

Before connecting the MCD to the safetyline you must have your lanyard properly connected to the harness and your carabiner
properly connected to the lanyard too (see respectives manuals)

Unlock the MCD by pressing with both thumbs on the bottom of the
Locking Cam

Insert the MCD on a straight portion of compatible cable. Be sure to hang the MCD with the opening side
facing the anchors of the rope course. Close the Locking Cam until it magnetically locks

Insert the carabiner according to the
orientation shown on picture

Adjust the length of the lanyard and move the MCD along the cable to check the correct operation.
5. Inspection
To ensure the correct condition of the product, please refer to the control points described in the PPE Checking le. Only

parts can be replaced, and only by the manufacturer.
5.1 Movement system inspection.
Correct state of the rollers is checked by moving the product through the safety line cable.
Sheaves have a high service life, just need a visual inspection.
In case the movement is not correct, sheaves must be replaced.

5.2 Locking system inspection.
Parts

and
C
, must be inspected after a user falls or after approximate use by 1000 users. The open area of the channel where the cable is
hosted is
7,5-8mm
between parallel faces of parts.
B
and
C
parts incorporate a
0.5mm
depth slot to control the wear produced with use.
Both parts should be replaced when you cannot clearly see any wear indicator.

6. Precautions
The list of recommendations stated here is only to be used as a general guideline to limit the risks involved with the use of the product. This
guideline is by no means exhaustive. It should be taken into consideration and validated by park builders and users.
It is the responsibility of all involved parties to minimize the inherent risks involved in the use of the product.
This list is not exhaustive with the practice of the ropes course. Take into consideration that among other risks, a neck entrapment, or a
trauma to the larynx are part of the risks inherent in this activity.
6.1 General usage precautions.

Caution with possible tangling of MCD rollers with the participant’s hair. It is recommended to wear helmet and properly tie the hair -

Possible trapping of the ngers or possible burns with the wire. We recommend the use of gloves -

The lanyard must not be too loose
or too short, so that it allows the correct passage of the product through the anchoring and allows easily movement throw games, but does
not allow fall. Properly adjust lanyard height before starting the game
.
Maximun height of fall must not exceed 0.3 to 0.4m

Check the cable elongation and the distance to the ground
.
Please check throughout the course, according to the lengths of lanyards
de ned, that in the event of a fall, there is no risk of collision with the ground or other elements of the course, in accordance with the
recommendations of standard EN15567-1.

6.2 Precautions on sloping safetylines, or ziplines.

The maximum weight allowed for zip lines is 120kg

The maximum length of zip line allowed to use the product is 150m. -

8. Further information
When to retire your equipment.
WARNING. an exceptional event can lead you to retire a product after only one use, depending on the type and intensity of usage and the
environment of usage.A product shall be discarded in a park when:
Has suffered a fall or considerable effort and its functionality is compromised.
The result of the product inspections was not satisfactory.
You doubt its reliability.
You do not know the complete history of use.
When its use is obsolete (legislative evolution, normative, technical or incompatibility with other equipment, etc.).

Manufacturer offer warranty for 2 year against any material or manufacturing defect. Normal wear, early oxidation by saline environment,
modi cations, incorrect storage, negligence and uses for which this product is not intended are excluded.
