Operation
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Fill water into the boiling trough for the number of eggs to be boiled according to
the markings on the measuring beaker.
3. Place the egg stand in position.
4. Prick each egg on the bottom in order to prevent the eggs from bursting. To do
so, turn the measuring beaker around and place it on a level non-slip base.
Press the egg carefully until the pin has been inserted.
5. Distribute the eggs evenly and opposite one another in the egg holder.
6. Place the lid in position.
7. Insert the mains lead into a socket of 230 volts, 50 hertz. The control lamp now
illuminates. The eggs are ready when the buzzer sounds. Remove the mains
lead.
8. Hold the lid by the handles and place it next to the machine. Be careful as it is
very hot!
9. Remove the egg holder and quench the eggs briefly under cold water.
For Machines with "Keep Warm" Function
If you would like to keep the eggs warm, insert the egg holder again and close the
lid. Turn the switch to the "Keep Warm" symbol
.
Cleaning
Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the machine!
The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp
cloth without additives.
Decalcification
The decalcification intervals depend on the hardness of the water and the frequen-
cy of use. Decalcification should be carried out every 3 to 4 months.
If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalci-
fied.
Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available decalcification agent on the
basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the instructions.
This appliance conforms with the CE directives for radio interference suppression
and low-voltage safety and has been built to meet current safety requirements.
