Indoor temperature and humidity display
The temperature indicator is shown in the lower left corner of the display and
the humidity in the right corner of the display.
• Press
C/F on backside of the weather station (behind the battery cover)
to select temperature display for Celsius or Fahrenheit.
• Press
CHANNEL/SEARCH to switch between displays of indoor or
outdoor temperature.
Display of heat index
The heat index uses temperature and relative humidity to determine the air
temperature. When the humidity is low the temperature will seem to appear
lower than the real temperature, since perspiration (body sweat) evaporates
faster and makes our bodies feel cooler.
On the contrary when the humidity is high (meaning when the air is saturated
with water vapour), it feels like the experienced temperature is higher than
the real temperature, since the perspiration from our bodies evaporates
more slowly.
Note that the weather station only measures heat index at temperatures
above 14 °C, since it is negligible at lower temperatures. In the same way
the heat index is not calculated at temperatures above 52 °C.
The heat index can be displayed both for indoor and outdoor temperature.
In some conditions a warning message is shown in the display. See chart
below.
1. Press
HEAT INDEX once to display the heat index for indoor or outdoor
temperature.
HEAT INDEX will be lit up in the display.
2. Use
CHANNEL/SEARCH to switch between indoor and outdoor
temperature. The text
Ch1 on the display indicates that the outdoor
temperature is being displayed.
