Troubleshooting guide
The speaker will not
switch on.
• Make sure that the plug is securely connected to
the wall socket.
• Check that the wall socket is live.
Poor sound or
no sound during
Bluetooth or NFC
playback.
• Adjust the volume on both the device and speaker.
• Make sure that the Bluetooth/NFC connection is
functioning properly.
• Test the playback from your external device before
connecting it.
• Try playback using another file or format e.g.
MP3. The file you are attempting to play may be
incompatible or corrupted.
• Make sure that no other wireless device disrupts
the Bluetooth connection.
• Make sure that the Bluetooth device is within range of
the speaker. (max 10 m).
NFC connection not
possible.
• If the device has any type of case attached to it, try
removing it.
• Try moving the device slowly over the NFC detection
zone rather than holding it still.
• Ensure that Bluetooth is working on your device.
The speaker uses NFC for establishing the initial
connection but uses Bluetooth for communicating.
Poor sound or
no sound during
playback via
the line-in jack.
• Make sure that the 3.5 mm audio cable is undamaged
and securely connected to the device and the speaker.
• Check for sufficient volume level on the connected
device and the speaker.
• Test the playback from the external device before
connecting it.
• Try playback using another file. The file you are
attempting to play may be damaged.
The remote control
doesn’t work.
• The remote’s batteries may be flat. Change batteries if
necessary.
• Point the remote control directly at the Bluetooth speaker
making sure that you are within range. (max 3 m).
• If either the Bluetooth speaker or remote control is
exposed to strong sunlight the signals between them
may be blocked.
The Bluetooth speaker
freezes or does not
operate correctly.
• Try disconnecting the speaker from the mains
completely by unplugging it from the wall socket.
Then reconnect the plug back into the wall socket.
