Manual tuning
Automatic tuning
1. Press in both touch controls simultaneously
and the FM transmitter will scan for a vacant
radio station.
2. Set the radio to the frequency shown
on the display of the FM transmitter.
3. If there is any interference in the transmission,
repeat steps 1 and 2 until an interference-free
frequency is found.
1. Set the radio to a vacant frequency
that is not too close to one that is
already used.
2. Turn on your iPhone/iPod and
connect the FM transmitter which
will start automatically.
3. Use the touch controls on the FM
transmitter to tune into the same
frequency as the radio.
4. Set your iPhone/iPod to play mode.
5. Any music played on the iPhone/
iPod will now be transmitted
to the radio.
Standby mode
If your iPhone/ iPod is switched off for more than a minute, the FM transmitter will
switch to standby mode to save battery power.
As soon as one of the touch controls on your iPhone/iPod or
FM transmitter is pressed, the transmitter will switch back on again.
N.B.
There might be a delay of a few seconds before the transmitter restarts.
Charging
Connect a USB cable (art. no: 38-4118
or 38-4119) to the USB port (5) and to
your iPhone/iPod charger. The USB port
enables you to charge your iPhone/iPod
whilst the FM transmitter is connected.
Care and maintenance
•
Do not expose the product to moisture or immerse it in water or
any other liquid.
•
Do not use chemicals or corrosive cleaning agents on the product.
•
Do not expose the product to extremely high or low temperatures.
•
Do not dispose of the product in fire, it will explode.
•
Do not expose the product to impacts, sharp objects or rough handling.
•
Do not try to dismantle the product.
•
If the product is not to be used for a long time: store it in a dry and
dust-free environment at normal room temperature.
Troubleshooting guide
The FM trans-
mitter will not
switch on.
•
Make sure that the transmitter is properly connected
to your iPhone/iPod.
•
Is your iPhone/iPod battery charged?
Interference
in the form
of noise or
other music.
•
Select a vacant frequency.
•
Make sure that there are no other
electrical devices in the vicinity.
No music is
heard from
the radio.
•
Make sure that your iPhone/iPod is in play mode.
•
Make sure that the transmitter is properly connected
to your iPhone/iPod.
•
Make sure that the radio frequency is
the same as that of the transmitter.
•
Adjust the volume of your radio.
