INSTALLATION

1. Slide the loop of the holding arm over

the U-tube as shown in Fig 1.

2. Attach a bracket to each end of the

U-tube and one end of the locking
arm, using the bolts and nuts as shown
in Fig 2, making sure the nuts are
concealed inside the tube.

3. Tighten the bolts using two 10 mm

wrenches, ensuring that the bracket
still hinges freely on the end of each
tube.

4. Slide the locking arm into the holding

arm and retain using the padlock.

5. Place the Parking Barrier in the

desired position in its raised
configuration as shown in Fig 3 and
mark the positions of the expansion
bolts through the holes in the
mounting brackets.

When positioning, make allowance
for the space required to hinge the
barrier up and down in the presence
of vehicles.

6. Using a suitable drill with a 10 mm

masonry bit, drill the mounting holes
where marked, to accommodate the
expansion bolts.

7. Insert the expansion bolts though

each fixing hole from above, screwing
the components together finger tight
as shown in Fig 4.

8. Position the barrier with all six bolts

sunk into the mounting holes. Check
the brackets are touching the ground
before tightening the expansion  bolts
with a 10 mm wrench.

This will expand the sleeve of the
expansion bolt and fix the barrier in
position.

9. Wrap the coloured adhesive bands

around the barrier.
