§5. RADIO SIGNAL RECEPTION
5-1 For Best Reception
There are three kinds of reception: automatic reception,
on demand reception, and recovery automatic reception.
When the radio signal has been properly received, your
watch will automatically adjust the time.
When reception is complete, each of the hands will move
either clockwise or counterclockwise to the received
time.
Remove the watch from your wrist and place on a stable
surface near a window where the radio signal can be
easily received, pointing the 9:00 position in the direction
of the radio signal transmitter.
Do not move the watch during reception.
• Reception may be difficult due to the surroundings or metal shielding.
• When inside a building, place the watch as close to a window as possible for good reception.
• Radio signal reception may be difficult during the hours around sunrise and sunset.
• Avoid attempting to receive radio signals during these times.
