Chapter 1 Hardware Installation
Fan-Tray Assembly Installation
Step 2
Slide the fan tray into the shelf until the electrical plug at the rear of the tray plugs into the corresponding
receptacle on the backplane.
Step 3
Secure the fan tray into the slot using the attached fastening screw.
Step 4
After power is supplied, confirm that the FAN STATUS LED on the front of the fan tray is illuminated.
This indicates that the fan tray is operating.
The FAN STATUS LED only illuminates when an XTC card is installed.

Procedure: Remove the Fan-Tray Assembly
Step 1
Move cables away from the fan tray slot.
Step 2
Loosen the fastening screw.
Step 3
Grasp the fan tray handle and gently pull it out of the fan tray slot (
