Performance Monitoring

Performance-monitoring parameters (PMs) are used by service providers to gather, store, threshold, and
report performance data for early detection of problems. In this chapter, PM parameters and concepts
are defined for both electrical cards and optical cards.

For information about Ethernet PMs, see

Chapter 9, “Ethernet Operation.”

Additional PM information
