Installing Cisco MDS 9134 48-Port and 64-Port Bundles
In both types of above-mentioned switch configurations, the distance between the 10-Gbps ports of the
switches can be a maximum of 1 meter. Currently, only 1-meter cables are shipped with the boxes.
Step 3
Ensure that a copper X2 CX4 transceiver is plugged into the 10-Gbps port of each switch.
Step 4
Plug in one end of the copper cable in the same box that is supplied to the 10-Gbps transceiver of the
MDS 9134 Switch. Plug in the other end to the 10-Gbps transceiver of the MDS 9134 Switch from the
second box in order to connect the two MDS 9134 Switches.
