You can mount the switch flush to the wall or 0.75 in away from the wall, as shown in the following illustration
and table.

The preceding illustration shows the cable entrance at the bottom of the installation. However, you can
install the switch with the entrance at the top of the installation. The position of the cable entrance does
not affect the temperature of the switch.
