Programming the AT3400 
Manually

Use these steps to program 
your AT3400 manually. Find your 
manufacturer in the list of 

TV Setup 

Codes

 and begin with the fi rst code 

listed. If that code does not work, 
repeat these steps with the next code 
listed. Or scan for a code using the 
steps in 

Scanning for Codes

.

1.  Hold the 

TV

 key until both device 

keys begin to fl ash. Then release the 

TV

 key.

2.  Enter the four-digit code for your TV. 

After you press the fi rst digit, the TV 
key lights up and remains on. When 
you press the last digit, if the code is 
valid, the TV key fl ashes three times. 

3.  Test the remote to make sure that it 

controls the TV. If the functions do 
not work, try the next code listed.

If none of the codes for your TV work, 
try the steps in 

Scanning for Codes

.

Scanning for Codes to Program 
the TV

The AT3400 can scan all the codes for 
your TV and fi nd the best match. Use 
the steps below, or see the steps in 

Programming the AT3400 Manually

.

1.  Make sure that your TV is powered 

on.

2. Hold the 

TV

 key until both device 

keys begin to fl ash. Then release the 

TV

 key.

3. Press the 

Power

 key. The TV key 

stops fl ashing and remains on.

4.  Point the remote at your TV.

5. Hold the 

 or 

 key until your TV 

turns off .

6. If the TV has been turned off  in 

Step 5, then press and release the 

OK

 key to lock the code. The TV 

key fl ashes three times. Press the 

Power

 key to turn your TV back on. 

Test the remote.  

7. If the functions do not work properly, 

try again from step 1.

Programming Volume Control

By default, your volume buttons operate 
the set-top box, not the TV. Follow 
these steps if you want to control 
volume through your TV. A TV must be 
programmed into the remote before 
changes can be made to Volume 
Control.

1. Hold the 

STB

 key until both device keys 

begin to fl ash. Then release the 

STB

 

key.

2. Hold the 

 key and press the 

OK

 key. 

The STB key fl ashes. Release both 
keys.

3. Press the 

 key. The STB key 

stops fl ashing and remains on.

4. Press the 

Volume -

 key. The STB key 

turns off  while you press volume - 
and turns on again when you release 
Volume -.

5. Press the 

TV

 device key. The STB key 

fl ashes three times.

If you want to revert to the original settings:

1. Hold the 

STB

 key until both device keys 

begin to fl ash. Then release the 

STB

 

key.

2. Hold the 

 key and press the 

OK

 key. 

The STB key fl ashes. Release both 
keys.

3. Press the 

 key. The STB key 

stops fl ashing and remains on.

4. Press the 

Volume -

 key. The STB key 

turns off  while you press volume - 
and turns on again when you release 
Volume -.

5. Press the 

STB

 device key. The STB key 

fl ashes three times.

Adjusting the Channel Lock

By default, your channel buttons 
operate the set-top. Before changes 
can be made to Channel Lock, a TV 
must be programmed into the remote. If 
you want the channel buttons to operate 
the TV instead, follow these steps:

1. Press the 

STB

 key until both device 

keys start to fl ash. Then release the 

STB

 key.

2. Hold the 

 key and press the 

OK

 key. 

The 

STB

 key fl ashes. Release both 

keys.

3. Press the 

C

 key. 

4. Press the 

Channel -

 key.

5. Press the 

OK

 key. The STB key 

fl ashes three times. 

Repeat these steps if you want to revert 
to the original settings.

Turning Off  Master Power

By default, your Power button controls 
the TV and set-top separately. Follow 
these steps if you would like the Power 
button to control the TV and set-top

The AT3400 AllTouch remote control 
has been programmed to control 
your Cisco® set-top box and can be 
programmed to control your TV.

Before You Begin

Be sure that your television power cord 
and your Cisco set-top box are not 
plugged into the same wall outlet.

Install Batteries

The remote requires two alkaline AAA 
batteries. A diagram inside the battery 
compartment of the remote indicates 
proper placement of the batteries.

Know Your Remote

The diagram below describes each key on 
your remote. Functions may vary between 
diff erent services.

Refer to the user guide for your set-top 
for descriptions of specifi c functions.

Recalling a TV Code

Follow these steps if you want to know 
your TV code. 

1. Hold the

 key until both device 

keys begin to fl ash. Then release the 

TV

 key.

2. Press the 

OK

 key. The TV key 

fl ashes each of the four digits in the 
code, separated by pauses. A rapid 
fl icker represents zero. So a code of 
1032 will be shown as:

Remote Control 

Learning Function – Learning 
Commands

1. Line up the AT3400 end-to-end 

with the second remote control 
you want to learn from, as shown 
below. Make sure the heads are 
one to two inches apart.

2. Press and hold the 

TV

 key on the 

AT3400 until both device keys 
(TV, STB) begin to fl ash. Then 
release the TV key.

3. Press and release the 

GREEN/

LRN

 key.

4. Press the key on the AT3400 

that you want to learn the new 
command. For example, if you 
want the MUTE key on the 
AT3400 to learn the TV MUTE 
command from the second 
remote, press the 

MUTE

 key on 

the AT3400. The TV key LED 
blinks once to indicate that the 
AT3400 is ready to learn the 
command.

5. On the second remote, press and 

hold the key that you want the 
AT3400 to learn (in this example, 
MUTE) until the TV key on the 
AT3400 blinks three times.

6. Continue learning other keys from 

the second remote by pressing 
the next button to teach on the 
AT3400 and repeating step 5.

 Note

: The TV LED blinks once if 

there was an error in the learning 
process. In this case, repeat steps 
4 and 5.

7. Once the AT3400 has learned all 

the buttons, press the 

GREEN/

LRN

 key. The TV LED blinks 

three times to confi rm the 
programming. Now, test all the 
buttons to make sure they learned 
correctly.

Learning Function – Clearing 
Commands

To clear individual learned 
commands:

1. Hold the 

TV

 key until both device 

keys begin to fl ash. Then release 
the TV key.

2. Press the 

GREEN/LRN

 key.

3.  Press the key that you want to 

clear, then press it a second time. 
The TV LED blinks three times. 

4.  Repeat step 3 for each key you 

want to clear. Press the 

GREEN/

LRN

 key. The TV LED blinks three 

times.

To clear all the learned commands:

1.  Hold the TV key until both device 

keys begin to fl ash. Then release the 
TV key.

2. Press the 

GREEN/LRN

 key.

3.  Hold the TV key for more than 3 

seconds. The TV LED blinks three 
times.

 Note

: The AT3400 only learns 

functions after the TV is set. It does 
not work in the factory default mode.

 

If the AT3400 has Channel Lock 
enabled, the Numeric keys, Recent 
key, and and Channel- 
keys are not learned.

Handling Disposable Batteries

This product may contain disposable 
batteries. Heed the following warning 
and Battery Safety and Battery Disposal 
instructions.

WARNING

: There is danger of 

explosion if the battery is mishandled 
or incorrectly replaced. Replace only 
with the same type of battery. Do not 
disassemble it or attempt to recharge 
it outside the system. Do not crush, 
puncture, dispose of in fi re, short 
the external contacts, or expose to 
water or other liquids. Dispose of 
the battery in accordance with local 
regulations and instructions from your 
service provider.
