Shutting Down the Ethernet Management Port
To shut down the Ethernet management port, use the
admin-shutdown
or
shut
command.
For example:

To shut down the Ethernet management port on the CSS 11501 with the
admin-shutdown
command, enter:
(config-if[Ethernet-Mgt])#
admin-shutdown
•
To shut down the Ethernet management port on the CSS 11501 with the
shut
command, enter:
(config-if[Ethernet-Mgt])#
shut
When you use the
shut
command, the CSS changes the
shut
command to the
admin-shutdown
command in the running configuration.
