Smoke and Fume Elimination
1. Oxygen Masks or Cannulas ....................................................DON
2. Oxygen System......................................................................... ON
3. Oxygen Flow Rate......................................................... MAXIMUM
4. Air Conditioner (if installed)......................................................OFF
5. Temperature Selector............................................................COLD
6. Vent Selector......................... FEET/PANEL/DEFROST POSITION
7. Airflow Selector .............................. SET AIRFLOW TO MAXIMUM
If source of smoke and fume is firewall forward:
a. Airflow Selector..................................................................OFF
8. Panel Eyeball Outlets............................................................OPEN
9. Prepare to land as soon as possible.

Use Oxygen System only if flames and heat are not present.
In addition to the procedures described above, pilot and passengers
should don masks and use the oxygen system at the maximum flow
rate until smoke and fumes have cleared.
If smoke and/or fumes are detected in the cabin, check the engine
parameters for any sign of malfunction. If a fuel leak has occurred,
actuation of electrical components may cause a fire. If there is a strong
smell of fuel in the cockpit, divert to the nearest suitable landing field.
Perform
Checklist and shut down the fuel supply to
the engine once a safe landing is assured.
