7 Camera parameters
3DPIXA
CD40131 Version 1
89 / 99
7.6.4
Average size for the encoder
Function
Sets the number of increments taken for distance measurement to
average the speed measurement
Channels
All
Type
Integer
None; 2x; 4x; 8x; 16x
Dependency
Only active with selected “Encoder mode” at “Synchronization mode”.
Notes
Best results will be reached with encoder mode 0 and without encoder
averaging. This mode will avoid errors due to tolerances in the duty
factor of the pulses.
7.6.5
Encoder resolution
Function
Sets the distance the transport might be moved by one increment of the
encoder.
Step
0.001
Unit
µm per increment
Dependency
Only active with selected “Encoder mode” at “Synchronization mode”.
Notes
Refers to a full increment of the encoder.
The value “Encoder pulses per line” is internally calculated by the camera and may not
exceed 255. Recommended values are between 0.5 and 255. Values <0.5 will cause a
decrease in transport resolution accuracy (see chapter 7.6.6, p. 89).
7.6.6
Vertical image resolution
Function
Defines the desired transport (vertical) resolution for the encoder mode.
Step
0.01
Unit
DPI (dots per inch)
Dependency
Only active with selected “Encoder mode” at “Synchronization mode”.
Notes
This parameter is needed for the calculation of internal parameters for
the encoder mode.
