Commissioning the camera
The line frequency will be limited if using the 3DPIXA camera in base mode.
The 3D scanner system is installed (see chapter

).
Perform the following steps in the given order to commission the camera:
1. Set up the frame grabber (see chapter 6.2, p. 50).
2. Set up the illumination (see chapter 6.3, p. 51 for Corona II illumination setup).
3. Install the CST on the PC as described in the allPIXA (pro) manual (see chapter 1.2, p. 7)
4. Establish the communication between the camera and the PC as described in the allPIXA
(pro) manual (see chapter 1.2, p. 7).
5. Set up the CameraLink interface (see chapter 6.4, p. 51).
6. Configure the camera with the simple setup tool (see chapter 6.5, p. 52).
7. Set up the trigger devices (if used) (see chapter 6.6, p. 57).
6.2
Setting up the frame grabber
The frame grabber setup has to be performed using the acquisition software
recommended by the frame grabber manufacturer.
For detailed information on the setting options, refer to the corresponding acquisition
software documentation.
1. Open the image acquisition software.
For correct image acquisition, the frame grabber has to be set to area mode. The camera
provides the frame grabber with the FrameValid (FVAL) signal. In this setup, the image
capturing of the camera is synchronized with the frame grabber. Especially when using a
3DPIXA dual camera, this setup is obligatory for correct image synchronization between
the master camera, the slave camera and the frame grabber.
2. Depending on the used CameraLink interface, set the following frame grabber settings:
