3.12 Network Function Test
3.12.1 Write Down Projector IP
With the projector connected to the PC with a LAN cable, navigate to:
Main Menu > Configuration > Communications > Network
Make sure that the DHCP box is not checked, write down the IP address,
Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.
NOTE:
Do NOT change the settings.
Simply record them so that the computer can be set up to match these
settings.
3.12.2 Network Setting
NOTE:
Network settings should be performed on the PC (actions under 3.12.1 Write Down Projector IP were
on the projector).
1. Double click Local Area Connection .
2. Click Properties .
3. Select Internet protocol (TCP/IP) .
4. Click Properties .
5. Modify the IP address to 192.168.0.240. Set the Subnet mask to match that of the projector.
NOTE:
The
last part of the HOST ID (192.168.0.XXX) of the PC IP address (specifically, the XXX part) must be
different from that of the projector IP address written down in
3.12.1 Write Down Projector IP . The first
three parts (192.168.0) must be identical to those in the projector IP address.
6. Click OK .
7. Click Close .
3.12.3 Read Projector information
1. Connect the PC and the Projector with a LAN cable.
2. Using Internet Explorer, navigate to:
http:// xxx.xxx.x.xxx , where the projector IP address
read in 3.12.1 Write Down Projector IP is used in place
of the x ’s.
3. Select Administrator for Access type.
4. Key in the password admin .
5. Click Login .
6. Confirm that the settings are the same as those recorded
in 3.10.1.
