Check number of lamp to be replaced on Lamp Status
Display.
Loosen 3 screws on Lamp Cover and remove Lamp Cover.
(See right figure.)

Loosen 2 screws and pull out Lamp Assembly to be replaced
by grasping handle.

Turn off a projector and disconnect AC Power Cord. Allow a
projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.

Replace Lamp Assembly with a new one and tighten 2 screws.
Make sure that Lamp Assembly is set properly

Follow these steps to replace lamp assembly.
Replace Lamp Cover and tighten 3 screws.

Connect AC Power Cord to a projector and turn projector on.
Reset Lamp Replacement Counter. (See "Lamp Counter
Reset" on the following page.)
NOTE : Do not reset LAMP REPLACEMENT COUNTER
when a lamp is not replaced.
CAUTION : DO NOT OPERATE PROJECTOR IF A LAMP IS REMOVED. IT MAY
RESULT IN MALFUNCTIONS, FIRE HAZARD, OR OTHER ACCIDENTS.

ORDER REPLACEMENT LAMP
Replacement Lamps can be ordered through your dealer. When ordering, provide the following
information to your dealer. Each kit contains one lamp.
Model No. : 38-VIV301-01 = VIVID Blue Lamp Replacement Kit #03-900471-01P
Determine which lamp needs to be replaced
according to Lamp Status Display (both recommended).
Figure shows case of replacing LAMP 2.

NOTES ON LAMP REPLACEMENT
To maintain quality of picture (better balance of color and brightness in entire screen), we recommend replacing
BOTH lamps at once. Consult your projector's manual regarding all other lamp issues.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
CAUTION
Do not drop a lamp assembly or touch a glass
bulb! Glass can shatter and may cause injury.
CAUTION
For continued safety, replace with a lamp
assembly of same type.
Allow a projector to cool for at least 45
minutes before you open Lamp Cover. Inside
of a projector can become very hot.
