Care and maintenance
WARNING:
•
Use only non-toxic cleaning products with a neutral pH between
6 and 9
•
Caustic cleaning products may leave a toxic residue and
corrode important components
•
Do not use sharp objects, brushes, or abrasive materials that
may damage the panel
To ensure the lasting efficient performance of your solar panel, we recommend that you clean it
at installation, and monthly after that.
•
Spray the panel with a mild detergent or pH-neutral, bio-degradable degreaser
•
Allow to stand for at least 5 minutes
•
Rinse with water
•
Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel
•
Repeat if necessary, until the product is clean
Note: Solar panels require regular cleaning, especially in corrosive environments
up to one kilometre from salt water, and up to five kilometres from a surf beach.
Frequent washing will remove any deposits that may affect efficiency and the design
life of the product.
