Replace a Lamp Using the Hot Swap Method
1. While the lamp is on, press
Function
and then
Zoom
and hold for a minimum of three seconds.
2. From the Setup menu, press
Select Lamp
and press the
Up
or
Down
arrows to determine
which lamp to change.
3. To select the lamp, press the
Right
arrow.
The selected lamp turns off and the LED located on the back of the projector displays red.
If a lamp error has previously occurred, the lamp name needing to be replaced is displayed in the
LCD monitor. Hot swap mode is automatically selected for the lamp needing to be replaced. Both
the front and back LAMP-# LEDs display red.
4. Wait 45 minutes for the lamp to cool down.
5. When the back LAMP-

LED is solid orange, remove the two screws on the lamp cover.

is the number of the lamp you are changing.
If you open the lamp door while the LED is flashing, it turns off both lamps and you receive a
COVER[open] error.
6. Remove the lamp cover.
7. Remove the three lamp screws.
8. Remove the lamp by its handle.
9. Insert the new lamp.
10. Tighten the three lamp screws.
11. Re-attach the lamp cover and tighten the two screws.
The back LAMP-

LED blinks orange. The front LAMP-
#
LED turns off if lit due to a previous lamp
error.
12. To reset the run time, from the Setup menu select
Lamp & Filter
>
LAMP-
#
Time
.
When successfully reset, the back LAMP-# LED turns off. If the LED continues to blink orange,
the lamp run time is not initializing. Refer to the Operator’s Guide for details on how to reset the
lamp run time.
13. To return to normal display in the LCD monitor, press
Function
.
