Introduction 

Engine performance is based upon the type of    

engine option you selected for your Chris-Craft.  

When you take possession of your boat you receive 

the appropriate engine books for your boat.  As the 

owner/operator it is your responsibility to familiarize 

yourself with the performance specifications and 

required maintenance of your engines. 

 

Weight and loading attributes are important for safe 

boating.  Use the following table to approximate the 

weights and    liquids  carried aboard the boat. 

1 gallon of gasoline = 6.1 pounds 

1 gallon of #2 diesel fuel = 7.05 pounds 

1 gallon potable Water = 8.33 pounds
