ON Series 3.3-5.0kVA Replacement Battery Instructions
Battery Disposal
UPS batteries contain toxic and acidic materials.
Disposal method must adhere to local/national
recycling laws.
Dispose of the battery in one of three ways:
• Return batteries prepaid to ONEAC by following
these steps:
1. After the battery pack has been replaced,
place the depleted battery pack in the box the
same way the replacement was packaged and
seal the box.
2. Follow the return instructions on the back
of the attached UPS A.R.S. label and affix the
box.
3. To return to ONEAC for proper recycling
(at no cost to you), give the box to any UPS
pick-up driver or call 1-800-742-5877 for the
nearest drop-off location.
• Contact ONEAC if you need the number of a
local battery collection site (US only).
• Make arrangements with a local business or auto
shop that collects batteries for reprocessing.
CAUTION:
DO NOT dispose of batteries in a fire.
The battery may explode. Do not open or mutilate the
battery or battery enclosure. Released electrolytes
are harmful to the skin and eyes and are toxic.
