Operation

1.

This orbital polisher is intended for waxing and polishing vehicles. It may be useful for other purposes,

but the instructions herein are for waxing and polishing the painted surfaces of vehicles.

2.

To prepare for use, place the Blue Nylon Liner over the Foam Base (31).

3.

Place the Non-Woven Cloth bonnet on the Foam Base (31) of the tool.

4.

Following the directions of the polish manufacturer, apply polish to the vehicle using the Non-Woven

Cloth bonnet.

5.

To operate this tool, first plug it in to a circuit breaker protected outlet delivering 120 volts AC at 60 Hz.

Then slide the Power Switch (2) to the  “|” ON position.  While holding firmly with 2 hands, allow the tool
to spin to normal speed before placing the Waxer/Polisher on the workpiece.

6.

To turn the tool off, slide the Power Switch (2) to the “O” OFF position.

7.

Once the polish has been applied, turn OFF the tool. remove the Non-Woven Cloth and install the Terry

Cloth bonnet.

8.

Turn the tool back ON and using the Terry Cloth bonnet, buff the polish off the painted surface. Use a

circular motion. Do not press down on the Polisher, let the tool do the work. Applying too much
pressure may cause the wax to bond to the painted surface or may cause other problems. Follow the
instructions provided by the wax or polish manufacturer.

NOTE: Harbor Frreight Tools is not responsible for any damage caused by incorrect use of

this product or incorrect use of any wax or polishing material.

9.

After the polish has been removed, turn OFF the tool and remove the Terry Cloth bonnet. Replace it

with the Synthetic Wool bonnet, and turn the tool back ON.

10. Use the synthetic Wool bonnet to buff the newly waxed surface. When the vehicle is sufficiently

polished, turn OFF the tool. Unplug the power cord. Remove the bonnet and restore the tool to its
case.

Polishing Tips

1.

Be sure your vehicle is clean, dry and free of dirt and contaminants before attempting to polish it.

2.

The surface of the vehicle should be cool, no higher than 75 degrees Fahrenheit. In hot climates, it is

advisable to polish your vehicle in the morning or evening, and in the shade. If the vehicle is too hot,
the polish will dry too fast, and may be very difficult to remove. NOTE: Follow the polish
manufacturer’s recommendations for best results.

3.

Do not leave the polish on the vehicle for more than 1/2 hour, as if may dry too much and be difficult

to remove.

4.

Do not bear down on the polisher. Hold it lightly and let the tool do the work. Keep the polisher in

constant motion over the vehicle surface to prevent burning of the wax or polish.

IMPORTANT

Carefully inspect the condition of the accessory before use and check the accessory
continually during use.  If any damage is noted, stop immediately and replace the accessory
with an undamaged one.  Harbor Freight Tools cannot be held responsible for damage
caused by using a damaged accessory on this tool.
