Trimmer Use
Warning!!
The
Safety Guard (#30)
must always be in place during operation. Do not operate
the unit without the cutting line installed and extended. Wear long pants, boots, and ANSI
approved eye and ear protection.
Warning!!
During operation, if you strike a foreign object, or become entangled in foreign
matter, immediately shut down the unit. Do not operate the unit again until you repair any
damage. Do not attempt to repair any entanglements with the unit on or the battery pack
attached. Do not put your finger near the
Trigger (#23)
until you are ready to operate.

Adjusting the Trimmer Line Length (Only use .055” diameter single line)
1.
Your Trimmer has a bump head mechanism, allowing you to release trimming line
without stopping the unit. If the line is cut off or becomes frayed or worn, you can
release more by gently tapping the
Bumper (#2)
on the ground while the Trimmer is
operating. Each tap on the ground will release approximately 1 inch of line.
2.
Make sure you keep the line fully extended (to the edge of the
Safety Guard (#30)
because the bump mechanism will not work properly when the line is too short.
Note: Always switch to a fresh battery when tool performance begins to diminish.
Severe heat is most destructive
to a battery; the more heat generated, the faster the battery loses power. A battery that gets too hot can be permanently
damaged. Never over-discharge a battery by using the tool even after tool performance is decreasing. Never attempt to
discharge a tool’s battery by continuing to pull the tool trigger.
When tool performance begins to diminish, stop the
tool, recharge the battery and use the fresh battery for optimal performance.
Ni-Cd
BATTERY MUST BE
RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF
PROPERLY.
