Adjust the setting of the pressure regulator
(Figure 7-93). Turn clockwise to increase
pressure, turn counterclockwise to de-
crease pressure.
After the new air pressure setting has been
made, lock it in by pressing down the
adjustment cap.
Carefully return to the outside of the ma-
chine. Do not stand anywhere inside the
unit while it is processing flatwork.
Process several more prices to check the
adjustment.
Repeat Steps 4 to 8 as necessary.

Blower Gate Air Cylinder Adjustment
Compressed air cylinders (Figure 7-94) open
and close the gates which control the vacuum
laydown process.
As discussed in the General Air Cylinder
Adjustment procedure, air cylinders should open
and close smoothly and without banging; paired
air cylinders should open and close together.
Adjusting the exhaust air flow valves when
necessary helps keep the unit operating smoothly,
quietly and efficiently.
In both cases, make sure each operates
smoothly without banging at either end of its
travel.
This procedure will need two workers, one to
feed flatwork and one to listen to the behavior of
the blower gates.
NOTE: This procedure is best
performed with two workers.
The buddy system is the safest
system.
Perform only when the unit is
RUNNING.
