OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
For best results, follow these steps before using your Electric Grill and Skillet for the
first time.
1. Check that all parts are accounted for before throwing away any packaging
materials. Read and remove any stickers on the unit, except for the rating label on
the bottom of the unit, which should remain on.
2. Remove the cooking insert from the cool-touch base; this may require a good pull.
3. Wash the cooking insert, base, and lid with warm, soapy water using a sponge.
NOTE:
Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the power
cord in water or any liquid.
4. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
WARNING:
Do not reassemble and
use without thoroughly drying the electrical port; if not completely dry, it can
create an electrical shock hazard.
5. Rub a little neutral oil, such as vegetable oil, on the interior of the cooking pan to
condition the nonstick surface.
6. Assemble the lid following the directions on p. 5.
