SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be 
followed including the following:

1. 

Read all instructions.

2.  Do not touch hot surfaces. Use caution when handling coffee, a hot 

K-Cup

®

, and other hot materials.

3.  To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse 

power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

4.  Close supervision is necessary when appliance is used by or near children.
5.  Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. 
6.  Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning 

appliance.

7.  Do not operate appliance with damaged cord or plug. Do not operate after

appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any way. In such cases

13.  Only use a pod or K-Cup

®

 intended for this appliance. If a pod does not fit, 

do not force it into appliance.

WARNING:

 To protect against injury, do not open lid of brew chamber 

or water tank when appliance is brewing or frothing. Hot steam may be 
released, which may result in scalding and injuries. 

15.  Do not place hands on or near mug when appliance is brewing or frothing.
16.  Do not remove mug from appliance until brewing or frothing buttons stop

blinking and the cycle is finished.

17.  Use caution when cleaning brew chamber or inserting pods. There is a sharp 

puncturing needle inside.

18.  The container is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used 

on a range top.

19.  Do not set a hot container on a wet or cold surface.
20.  Do not use a cracked container or a container having a loose or weakened

handle.

21.  Do not clean container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive

material.

22.  Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids on the 

carafe holder since they can get hot.

23.  Save these instructions.
