Frame Control connectors allow communication with the frame controller CCA in the 864XR chassis
and System Control connectors allow communication with the system controller CCA in the 864XR
chassis.
Two LED indicators associated with each rear-panel connector provide a visual status of link activity.
Refer to Figure 3-19 and Table 3-7.
All communication activities between frame controller and system controller CCAs and other external
components of a control system follow the standard Ethernet protocol. Ethernet configuration options
are discussed in Appendix A of this manual.

To connect the cards to the network, do the following:
1. Set the IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway address, and Trap address on Matrix Frame
Controller to addresses approved by the Network Administrator.
2. Using a straight through RJ-45 Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet jacks to a 10/100BASE-T
hub or switch on the TCP/IP network.
