3.5.2.4 Installation of hood shutter kit

product)
To prevent smoke getting into the hood when opening the door
following insufficient draught or forgetting to open the draught
shutter, the hood shutter must be installed between the
appliance and the fireplace pediment.
The obturator kit comprises a galvanised metal plate and two
clips to be affixed to the skirt of the appliance.
Once the
appliance is connected and before setting up the hood, the hood
shutter must be adjusted with the fireplace pediment.

The purpose of the primary air damper regulating mechanism is to regulate
combustion. Its different positions act upon the output of primary air, making
it possible to select fire intensity and level of power desired.

In all cases, it is essential that the hood ventilation air intake
be ensured by the underbase or, if necessary, by the
appliance’s jambs or surround.
