STOVE SET-UP
USING YOUR STOVE
Stove Set-Up:
1. Flip Enamel Coated Drip Pan so that the support brackets are facing up.
2. Place stove on a flat-heat resistant surface.
3. Make sure lever is in the unlock position
4. Make sure the ignition knob is in the “Off” position.
5. Open canister storage
6. Find the notch on the butane canister collar, raise the safety guide at the
connection with the stove and insert canister so the safety guide is inside the collar
notch.
7. Press the switch on the front of the stove to the “Lock” position.
8. Before each use check for gas leaks by placing soapy water on the canister and
connection. If bubbles appear disconnect canister immediately and discontinue
use.
NEVER USE A FLAME TO CHECK FOR GAS LEAKS.
Using Your Stove:
1. Turn Ignition Switch counter-clockwise until you hear a click. That causes a spark
to be produced and should light the burner.
2. You can adjust flame to desired height by continuing to turn the knob in the
same direction. The ideal flame will be blue with a touch of yellow near the tip.
HINT:
If the stove will not light turn Ignition Switch to the “Off” position. Repeat
Steps 1-2. If after 3 tries the burner will not ignite, remove the canister and lightly
shake the canister to ensure it has fuel in it.
CAUTION:
Make sure stove is completely cool before inserting canister.
3. To turn off your stove, simply turn the Ignition Switch to the “Off Position”
NOTE:
Your Chard Portable Butane Stove comes with a safety feature that stops
the flow of gas if the canister pressure becomes too high.
