disconnect electric power to operator BEFORE installing.

ALL electrical connections MUST be made by a qualified individual.

APPLICATION

This wiring modification is available for models T, GT, APT, J, H, GH, SD 
and GSD standard door operators with Logic 5.0 control circuit. 

NOTE:

 

Not available with Hazardous Area or Variable Speed Modifications.

FUNCTIONS

Each limit switch provides a means to control auxiliary lights, heaters or 
other equipment. The limit switch can be used to turn on or off such 
equipment when the door is fully opened or fully closed.

INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect power to the operator.
2.  Secure limit switches to the auxiliary limit switch bracket provided 

(Figure 1).

3.  Secure terminal blocks (if present) to the two outer positions on the 

limit switch bracket or operator side-walls, depending on the 
application (Figure 2).

4.  Fasten the auxiliary limit switch bracket to the electrical box using the 

four #8-32 x 1/4" pan head screws provided 
(Figure 3).

   

T, GH, GT, and GSD only:

Remove the terminal block (L1, L2 and L3) from the operator. 
Certain operators have the terminal block mounted on a flange. 
Remove flange from electrical box. The flange will not be reused.

Certain operators will require the L1, L2, and L3 spade connectors to 
be bent flat. Using needle nose pliers, remove the wires from the 
spade connectors. Bend the 3 spade connectors and install the wires 
back on the connectors.
