REP 4.12 Air Filter Change
The air filter should be changed annually.
WARNING
Disconnect and lockout power as described
in the Power Lockout Procedure on page viii.
1. Remove the waste bin and open the back
door.
2. Switch off the main air at the main air dis-
connect valve shown in Figure 4-23.
3. Locate the air filter as shown in Figure 4-23.
4. Pull down the black lever on the front side of
the filter. Twist the filter cylinder. Align the
double lines on the cylinder with the double
lines on the filter head. Pull the cylinder
head down to remove the cylinder.
5. Remove the black, filter element, retainer
from the filter head. Turn the retainer coun-
terclockwise until it is freed from its mount-
ing rod.
6. Remove the used filter element and clean
the underside of the filter head with a dry
cloth.
7. Install the new element found in the oil re-
placement kit. Firmly hand tighten the black,
filter element, retainer. Do not over tighten.
8. Clean the inside of the filter cylinder with a
dry cloth.
9. Reinstall the filter cylinder. Align the double
lines on the cylinder with the double lines on
the head. Push the cylinder into the head
and twist until the cylinder snaps into place.
10. Switch on the main air at the main air dis-
connect valve.
11. Close the back door.
12. The air filter is not hazardous. Dispose of it
by conventional means.
