RAP 2.38 Tilt In-feed Cylinders
Output 2
While the Tilt In-feed Conveyor is waiting for
books, the tilt-table should be in an angled posi-
tion. After the photoelectric sensors detect a
book, the tilt-table drops level. After the book
enters the elevator, the tilt-table moves back to
an angled position. When the machine is
switched off, the tilt-table drops to a level posi-
tion.
Possible Fault Indicators
The tilt-table does not lift
The tilt-table does not actuate when it
should
Initial Actions
Check that all cables are securely fastened to
the accessory equipment.
Check that all air hoses are connected.
Perform GP 6.15 Speed-Control Air Valves.
Check for pinched or broken air hoses.
Check for loose or broken wire 125 at the power
panel.
Check that the wire connector on the air valve is
connected properly.
Procedure
1. Switch on the machine. Is output LED 2
switched off?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Replace-

Does the tilt-table lift?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the
valve (PL 5.38 Tilt Conveyor 56600 (1/8)).
6. Electrically activate the valve by shorting
wire 125 to 73 at the terminal block. Does
the valve activate and lift the tilt-table?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the
