RAP 2.20 Cut Valve
Output 13
After the cut valve is energized, hydraulic fluid is
routed to the down port of the cut cylinder. The
cut valve is located at the left-hand rear of the
manifold, Figure 2-26.

Initial Actions
Check for loose or broken wire 85 at the power
panel.
Procedure
1. Perform RAP 2.54 Knife Down Sensor or
RAP 2.52 Knife Up Sensor in accordance
with the fault message displayed at the con-
sole.
2. Does output LED 13 switch on before the
fault occurs?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.6 DC Power and check the 24
VDC power supply. Is the power supply
okay?
Y N
Disconnect main power and repair the
24 VDC power supply.
Disconnect main power and replace the
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Replace-
ment).
3. Disconnect main power.
4. Short wire 85 to 74.
5. Place a Murr solenoid adapter (Figure 2-27)
between the Hirschmann connector and the
cut valve solenoid coil (Figure 2-26). Switch
on the machine. Do the adapter's LEDs
switch on?
Y N
Go to GP 6.13 Hirschmann Connector. Was
there a loose or shorted wire in the con-
nector?
Y N
Check for loose or broken wire 74 at the
power panel.
Check fuse, F9.
6. Switch off the machine and remove the cut
valve solenoid from the valve (with the cable
connected).
7. Switch on the machine. Insert the metal end
of a screwdriver into the cut valve solenoid.
Does the solenoid attract the screwdriver?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the cut
valve solenoid (PL 5.23 Hydraulic Power
Unit 59010-1).
8. Disconnect main power and re-attach the
cut valve using a deep well socket.
9. Disconnect main power and remove the
short placed between wires 85 and 74.
