Ensure the discharge chute and grass
discharge flap are clean. The grass bag
must always be emptied after use. Make
sure that the exterior of the engine is clear
of all debris, cuttings and dirt.

2. SPARK PLUG (FIG.I)

1) Once the engine has cooled, remove
the spark plug using the socket spanner
supplied.
2) Clean the plug with a wire brush.
3) Using a feeler gauge, set the gap to
0.7~0.8 mm.
4) Install the spark plug carefully by hand,
to avoid cross-threading.
5) After the spark plug is seated, tighten
with spanner to compress the washer.
3. AIR FILTER (FIG.J1&J2)

Unclip the air filter cover and remove the
sponge filter element. To avoid objects
falling into the air tank, replace the air filter
cover. Wash the filter element in warm
soap water, rinse and allow to dry naturally.
Warning! Never run the engine
without the air filter element
installed.
4. CHANGING THE OIL
Tilt the lawnmower towards the oil filler,
have a container ready to catch the oil and
remove the dipstick. Once the oil has
been emptied, replace the dipstick and
wipe clean any spillages.
Refill of SAE30 oil. When the dipstick is
rested on the filler pipe (i.e. not screwed in
place), the oil level must be between the
min
and
max
marks on the dipstick. See
‘’Filling with Engine Oil’’. Do not overfill.
Start the engine and allow it run briefly.
Stop the engine, wait one minute and
check the oil level. Top up if necessary.
5. ADJUSTING THE SELF PROPELLED
ROPE (FIG L1&L2)
1) To make the adjustment, slacken off the
lock nut (e)and lighten the adjusting bolt (f)
a few turns (clockwise) (Fig.L2).
2) Re-tighten the lock nut.
